Course Details
Transform basic firearms recovery data into actionable intelligence for reducing violent crime. This training introduces the ATF National Tracing Center (NTC) and the modernized eTrace and eTrace DIRECT applications, demonstrating how firearms tracing can identify suspects, reveal trafficking patterns, and support violent-crime investigations.
Analysts and investigators will learn how to submit and track trace requests in real time, integrate high-volume data using eTrace DIRECT, and apply eTrace search tools and reporting features to analyze time-to-crime rates, source states, and firearm types.
The presentation also covers key NTC resources, including the Obliterated Serial Number Program and protocols for Urgent Traces during critical incidents.
