Course Details
VCC Class Description: This workshop is designed to provide users with their first look at the Virtual Command Center (VCC), highlighting how VCC supports real-time critical incident management and multi-agency collaboration. Participants will learn how VCCs can enhance situational awareness, streamline information sharing, and support rapid, coordinated decision-making for law enforcement, public safety, criminal justice, antiterrorism, and intelligence operations.
This VCC workshop will:
• Explain what the VCC is and how it can be a beneficial situational awareness and information sharing tool.
•Identify various types of use cases where a VCC can be established (e.g., special events, command posts, manhunts, warrant roundups, investigations, active shooters, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, and more).
• Describe how VCC facilitates secure, web-based collaboration and the sharing of sensitive but unclassified information via LEEP.
• Demonstrate key VCC capabilities, including real-time reporting via custom entry forms, mapping, direct uploads, arrest/search tracking, quick activation, and 24/7 secure access and support.
• Highlight tactical and strategic uses of VCC
• Provide information on how to gain access to VCC and where to go for additional assistance and resources.
JC Class Description: This workshop is designed to provide users with their first look at JusticeConnect, highlighting how this secure, online criminal justice network can enhance information sharing, partnership development, and project management across agencies. Participants will learn how JusticeConnect supports collaboration among federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial partners through the Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal (LEEP).
This workshop will:
• Explain what JusticeConnect is and how it can be beneficial to your agency and mission.
• Describe how JusticeConnect facilitates secure information sharing and multi-agency collaboration in a protected online environment.
• Identify key features, including communities, file sharing and storage, discussion forums, blogs, and user search capabilities to connect with others who have similar interests.
• Demonstrate basic system functions and show how to join communities, post content, and manage projects.
• Highlight examples of successful collaboration and initiatives supported by JusticeConnect.
• Provide information on how to gain access to JusticeConnect via LEEP and where to go for additional assistance and resources.
