Designed to prepare students to be the affiant, case agent, or
supervisor on a federal or state wiretap, this course uses
examples from film and television, as well as real life case
studies, to aid in the understanding of the concepts being
taught With an emphasis on narcotics and organized crime,
the course provides students with an overview of long term
wiretap cases, while also thoroughly exploring other forms of
electronic surveillance, including pen registers, trap and trace
devices, pole cameras, mobile tracking, and accessing the
content of texts, emails, and social media
