Course Details
ADVANCED NARCOTICS TECHNIQUES Class Nationwide, most narcotics detectives were only taught the basics of how to do three buys from a target location, serve a search warrant, and then close the case if they can’t flip the original target. During this training session, LE will learn new advanced approaches to making cases, including establishing trafficking patterns, articulating criminal behaviors, cultivating new levels of informants, advanced body wire technology, cell phone tracking, utilizing open-source intelligence, and other electronic evidence sources that are available for officers to serve legal process. This two-day course will cover the following: • Open-source intelligence (what it is and where to get it) • New levels of informants • Establishing patterns of criminality in cases • Electronic evidence sources • Advanced body wire/listening devices • Simple surveillance for advanced probable cause • Small units that produce large unit results • Making a case while reducing exposures to hazardous controlled substances (fentanyl, Nitazines, etc.)
