This course teaches the program’s features and tools, including the latest software updates, and it includes the data rules and process guidelines required by HIDTA policy. For using the software, the course teaches how to: Record data that defines the local HIDTA such as data for its counties, regional drug prices, initiative names, and more Create an initiative description and budget proposal by describing the initiative’s planned activities, participating agencies and positions, and the expected outcomes for the program year Record the initiative’s actual outcomes such as the number of DTOs identified, quantity of seizures, number of cases provided analytical support, hours of training provided, and more Print reports and export data stored in the database To follow data and process guidelines, participants learn: Definitions of key terms used in PMP so that data can be recorded in the correct screens and field positions Ways to distinguish types of data and recognize circumstances that dictate when data should and should not be recorded Data sources and destinations, and how a HIDTA’s performance data recorded in WebPMP fits into the budgeting process, how HIDTA management uses the data during the program year, and how the HIDTA summarizes its accomplishments using its annual performance tables at the conclusion of the program year.
