Description
This is the one-day 8-hour version. Drugs, money, and violence are constants in the narcotics world. Many new detectives are never properly trained on what a “red flag” indicator is in narcotics/undercover operations. Unfortunately, the majority of the learning comes after violent acts, robberies, and rip-offs occur. Lingering questions with no answers to some of these questions should be “red flag” indicators. What can go wrong when you have an inexperienced/new undercover, supervisor, or cover team? What can go wrong if the undercover doesn’t take part in the operational planning? What can go wrong if you haven’t tested the electronic listening/monitoring device (body wire) at the deal location? What can happen if you don’t know how to use simple drug paraphernalia before a deal? What can happen if you don’t account for fentanyl in your UC operation? What can happen if you don’t know how to effectively control and manage a CI? What can go wrong if exceed your team’s limitations in an undercover operation? This course covers the most commonly missed “red flag” indicators in narcotics/undercover operations. Controlled substances touch almost every angle in police work from narcotics, gangs, human trafficking, prostitution, CID, homicide/cold case, fraud, missing persons, etc. Anyone in any investigative element is encouraged to attend to gain knowledge on enhanced safety and better operational planning from this course.
