Uniform Guidance Navigation and Impact on HIDTA Grant

This August (19-20) NHAC hosted Uniform Guidance Navigation training for ONDCP and HIDTA personnel from around the country.   The course, led by Candice Harp, was created at the request of ONDCP to cover changes in grant administration policies since all previous circulars were combined into the 2 CFR Chapter I, Chapter II, Part 200, et al. (know as the “Super Circular”), which took effect this year.  Ms. Harp described the class as being designed to teach HIDTA Directors and Financial Managers how to use the guidance document in their jobs because they are the primary source of support for grant recipients.

Two quotes from attendees emphasize the benefit of the class:

“The training hosted by NHAC was informative, well presented and clearly identified areas that will impact our fiduciary,” said Chuck Porucznik.

“Candice Harp and the NHAC Training Staff put on a course well worth attending,” said Doug Owsley.

Uniform Guidance Training sessions were held in Chandler, AZ on September 23 and 24 and in Houston on September 30 and October 1.  Another class will be held in Atlanta October 14-15.
