The National HIDTA Assistance Center (NHAC) is currently seeking a qualified individual to assist the DHE Chair, nine (9) designated DHE Regional Coordinators (HIDTA Directors), and Regional Domestic Highway Enforcement Senior Coordinator in coordinating regional domestic highway enforcement activities that include but are not limited to:
Five (5) years of experience working in either law enforcement, military intelligence or the National HIDTA Program
Ability to write clear and concise communications
Ability to clearly and concisely orally communicate with others
Ability to coordinate high-level and highly attended conferences and regional meetings across the country
Ability to perform extensive travel throughout the country
Ability to obtain a “Secret” security clearance
This is an annually renewed contract position based on available funding and need. Compensation will be based on a daily rate and Contractor’s invoices will be paid twice each month according to the appropriate GS-12 locality pay scale. In addition, the contractor will receive up to a 30 percent benefit compensation package.
Note: Additional consideration will be given to applicants that have experience working directly with or supporting domestic highway enforcement task forces, the HIDTA program, or HIDTA ISCs Note: The applicant’s duty station will be located at one of the HIDTAs located in the Continental United States: Chicago, IL; Metairie, LA; Houston, TX; London, KY; Crown Point, IN; Atlanta, GA; Sanford, FL; Sacramento, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Detroit, MI; Kansas City, MO; Milwaukee, WI; Las Vegas, NV; Methuen, MA; New York, NY; Jacksonville, FL; Dallas TX; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Brooklyn Heights, OH; Salem, OR; Philadelphia, PA; Denver, CO; Miramar, FL; Greenbelt, MD; Tucson, AZ; San Diego, CA; Las Cruces, NM; San Antonio, TX; El Paso, TX.” There is no relocation funds associated with this position.
Note: Consideration will be given to post secondary education.
Individuals with the requisite skills interested in providing contract services to the NHAC are invited to submit a packet responding to this announcement. The packet shall consist of a letter of interest that states the individual’s willingness to contract with the NHAC and that summarizes the individual’s qualifications to provide the services described in this announcement. A resume supporting the stated qualifications shall be included as an attachment to the letter of interest.
